Miranda Taylor was raised in London, trained as a journalist in Paris, returned to London as Editor of two travel magazines in succession. While raising
a family Miranda studied yoga therapy and became fascinated with plants and herbs with all their healing and health benefits.
Five years ago she followed her dream to move to the countryside. With a ruined Arts and Crafts garden to restore she decided to train as a garden designer with The English Gardening School, situated in the Chelsea Physic garden, graduating with a merit in May 2025. She continues with her studies in horticulture and ‘good gardening’ at the highest level.
Miranda’s style is classical and romantic, paying close attention to the place and architecture, while balancing important structural elements of the garden with soft, colourful, bee-friendly and successional planting. She believes a garden is far more than ‘just a garden’, no matter how small or large the space, it can hold world of wildlife and fun possibilities.
